11.01.2013 The National Library continues the work on information resources cataloging
From 7 to 11 January of the current year service cataloging and classification was 377 copies. new editions.
Was made of the technical and scientific processing, and performed a bibliographic description of  240 books (classified under the following headings: politics - 77 units., technology - 7 units., science - 18 units., medicine - 2 units., fiction - 20., agriculture - 3 units.,)

11.01.2013 The National Library continues work on the completion of electronic database of information resources and assignment of ISBN and ISSN numbers to local publications

The National Library of Uzbekistan till 2012 along with traditional card-catalog worked on electronic catalog. At present Division of National Bibliographic Databases Formation replenishes the AILS electronic database with materials of Uzbekistan studies.

11.01.2013 New films in the cinema of the National library

Cinema center of the National library contains the repertoire of spiritually-educational and scientific-popular video materials, which demonstrate the basic ways of preservation of national traditions, historically, spiritual and cultural heritage, and also education of the spiritually perfect youth.In the events of the video, the images of the positive and negative characters, masterfully conveyed to the viewer those negative factors, which threaten human life and contribute to the emergence of bad consequence.

10.01.2013 In the National library was the event dedicated to the Day of defender of the Motherland
On 14 January 1992, a law was adopted for the transition of military colleges and all of the military units and associations of the country under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the creation of the armed force of the Republic. On 29 December 1993 14 January was declared the “Day of defenders of  Motherland ”.
In the National library was held a meeting under the name of “Brave soldiers guarding the Motherland” dedicated to this significant date with the participation of the poet Norkobil Kuchhkar - participant of the Afghan war; the poets Yakha Toga, Nurillo Oston   members of the Association of writers of Uzbekistan; poet Abdurazzak Obru- the employee of the newspaper Vatanparvar, Colonel in reserve, and the young poet Ismoilov Zuhriddin. The meeting also conducted the poet Shukur Qurbon.

The National Library named after Alisher Navoi provides services to readers with disabilities. For readers with disabilities National Library updated audio books.
For all users and interested in exhibiting, there is a list of audio books and bibliographic description of some of them.

From December 27 to January 4, cataloging and classification service received 432 copies. new editions. 
Was made of the technical and scientific processing, and performed a 
bibliographic description of 180 books (classified under the following headings: politics - 31 units., pedagogy and culture - 27 units., fiction - 71 units., technology - 7 units., literature - 4 units., medicine - 2 units., Science - 22 units., art - 7 units., Reference - 7ed ., medicine - 2 units. )
