On February 14, 2013 in National library of Uzbekistan the competition "Acknowledgement of the soul" held together with the social network Muloqat.uz ended. Wishing could write the wishes in 3 directions to "Homeland", to "Mother", "Darling". The most large number of wishes was devoted to "Homeland" and winners who are awarded by gifts from the social network Muloqat.uz and National library of Uzbekistan are revealed. Among gifts 2 tickets for movie "Yagonam" viewing, 2 tickets for “Ilkhom” theater performance "Bizning mahalla" and 2 tickets for Muloqat.uz cafe visit.

The National Library of Uzbekistan till 2012 along with traditional card-catalog worked on electronic catalog. At present Division of National Bibliographic Databases Formation replenishes the AILS electronic database with materials of Uzbekistan studies. 
As of February 4-8, 2013 the electronic catalog was replenished with 80 bibliographic records of newspapersarticles, 23 records of journals articles, in total 722 bibliographic records and 261 bibliographic records were edited.

Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU - the largest Russian information portal of science, technology, medicine and education, which contains abstracts and full texts of more than 14 million scholarly articles and publications. Database includes about 36,000 scientific journals, over 1700 of them are in open access. 

The celebration of the 572-anniversary of Nizomiddin Mir Alisher Navoi in the Republic coincided with the implementation of the activities in the National library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. In particular, in the library together with the National spiritual-educational centre, the Union of writers of Uzbekistan and the National University of Uzbekistan on 6 February, was held spiritually-educational outreach event on the theme «the Creativity of Alisher Navoi national spiritual heritage». The event opened Director of the National library Asadjon  Khodjaev and the head of the Republican spiritually-educational center Gulom Mirzayev.
