21.04.2013 The press-conference on the eve of the 7th International conference «Central Asia-2013» was held in the National library.

The press-conference on the eve of the 7th International conference «Central Asia-2013 - Information and library resources in science, education, culture and business» was held in the National library of Uzbekistan, at which were discussed questions of the organization of the conference and the current results of operations of the library.
The Director of the National library of Uzbekistan A.Khodjaev noted that the International conference which is held once in two years, contributes for revitalization of the information and library institutions, educational institutions, archives, museums and other organizations for the effective and efficient cooperation in the development and use of electronic information resources in various spheres.

19.04.2013 The National Library continues work on the completion of electronic database of information resources and assignment of ISBN and ISSN numbers to local publications
At present Division of National Bibliographic Databases Formation replenishes the AILS electronic database with materials of Uzbekistan studies. 
As of April   15-19, 2013 the electronic catalog was replenished with 37 bibliographic records of newspapers articles, 11 records of journals articles, in total 432 bibliographic records and 134 bibliographic records were edited.

19.04.2013 The National Library continues the work on information resources cataloging

 From 15 to 19 April, cataloging and classification service received 170 copies. new editions.
Was made of the technical and scientific processing, and performed a bibliographic description of 56 books (classified under the following headings: policy - 49 units, fiction - 5 units literature - 2 items.) and 114 of the abstracts (systematized in the following sections: policy - 39 units, medicine - 19 units., agricultural - 4 units., technique - 25 units, art - 4 units., pedagogy and culture - 11 units, natural Sciences - 12 units.) which have been transferred to the service of the storage of books and periodicals for the further use of the readers.

Was made of the technical and scientific processing, and performed a bibliographic description of 415 books (classified under the following headings: policy - 157 units, medicine - 2 units, fiction - 59 units, with./x.- 1ед., technique - 15 the art - 11 units, pedagogy and culture - 95 units; literature - 50 u., natural Sciences - 19 units., directories - 2 units, linguistics - 4 units)

10.04.2013 The event of the birthday of the great commander Amir Temur "Amir Temur - great statesman" was held in the National Library.

Amir Temur as a politician and a great statesman, who was able to establish separate feudal principalities large centralized, powerful state . Management style, customs which he followed and disciplined exemplary, his experience in many areas of activity are currently very important for Uzbekistan. First of all, we should note that he thoroughly studied and used the positive experience of state building.
