The National Library continues work on the completion of electronic database of information resources and assignment of ISBN and ISSN numbers to local publications
From 15 to 21 june support cataloguing and systematization of the received 233 copies of new editions.
Was made of their technical and scientific processing, as well as performed the bibliographic description 113 books (systematized in the following sections: policy - 42 units, natural sciences - 9 units, literary criticism – 42 units, agriculture – 1 units, equipment - 3 units, culture – 14 units, imaginative literature – 2 units ) and 120 abstracts (policy – 52 units, medicine - 16 units, equipment - 29 units, culture – 13 units, natural sciences - 10 units) which have been transferred to the service of the storage of books and periodicals for the further use of the readers.

The day of memory of folk figures of Uzbekistan took place in the National Library.
Utkir Khashimov was the author of more than 70 books, has worked in various mass media, has held senior positions in the publishing house of literature and arts named after Gafur Gulam and was the chief editor of the magazine "Shark Yulduzi." Along with the creative work, Utkir Khashimov actively involved in social and political life of Uzbekistan. Utkir Khashimov had been awarded many times by various government awards and honors, including the award of the Hamza, the title of People's writer of Uzbekistan, the State Prize of Uzbekistan, the orders "Mehnat shuhrati" and "Buyuk hizmatlari uchun". He died due to the long illness on May 24 of this year at the age of 72.

The National Library continues work on the completion of electronic database of information resources and assignment of ISBN and ISSN numbers to local publications
At present Division of National Bibliographic Databases Formation replenishes the AILS electronic database with materials of Uzbekistan studies.
As of June 10-14, 2013 the electronic catalog was replenished with 135 bibliographic records of newspapers articles, 5 records of journals articles, in total 445 bibliographic records and 141 bibliographic records were edited.

The National Library continues the work on information resources cataloging
From 10-14 July was joined 2492 named full-text documents for bibliographic records in service of systematization and cataloguing.

From the beginning of the year service of cataloguing and systematization systematized on (BBK), produced a bibliographic description of the 1352 printed publications prepared for publication in Uzbekistan.
At present the AIBS system includes 408850 records in total.

As of June 3-7, 2013 the electronic catalog was replenished with 41 bibliographic records of newspapers articles, 5 records of journals articles, in total 297 bibliographic records and 199 bibliographic records were edited.
