Biography
Hafiz-i Abru was born and lived in Herat. He worked as a secretary of Amir Temur and participated in his crusades. He was the main chronicler in the years of Shohruh. He possessed good knowledge of geodesy and geography. He composed several essays in Persian about the history of Amir Temur’s reign and his followers, as well as a geographical work.

Zayil-i “ Zafar- Namai-Shami” (Addition to Zaffar-name)- History of Amir Temur’s reign (1404-1405).
Jugrafiya and Hafiz-i Abrur (Geography of Hafiz-i Abrur contains overall geographic description of the Earth, geography and history of Kerman and Horasan as well as the geography of Mavarannahr.
Zubdat at-tavarih (cream of chronicles) – contains the history of Amir Temur and his son Shahruh’s reign. (till 1430)
